SECTION 1:DIAGNOSIS OF EARLY PREGNANCY
1. Diagnosis
1.1 Clinical Manifestations
1.1.1 Symptom: ①Amenorrhoea. ②Morning sickness.③Frequency of micturition. ④Breast enlargement.
1.1.2 Signs: ①Breast examination(BE)and Montgomery's tubercles. ②Hegar sign.
1.2 Auxiliary Examination
1.2.1 Pregnancy test:Urine HCG or blood-βHCG.
1.2.2 Ultrasonic examination is a quick and accurate method for the diagnosis of pregnancy.
1.2.3 Cervix Mucus examination: Cervix Mucus is scanty and less elastic in the early pregnancy, Fern pattern under light microscope disappears.
1.2.4 The determination of basal body temperature (BBT).
1.2.5 Progesterone test: used very rarely.
2. Differential Diagnosis
2.1 Uterine fibroid.
2.2 Ovarian cyst.
2.3 Pseudopregnancy.
